Our online demonstration of Content Controller allows you to use the product to see first-hand how easy it is to update web content
from any PC with an Internet connection. Using our sample site, you can log-in to the admin console and update content on a page that may be subject to frequent
change. For security, this demonstration only allows you to make a change to a single page in editor mode. Increased functionality is available for site owners
and developers. This would include the ability to specify multiple page editors and to provide control over which pages they are allowed to edit and the level
of flexibility allowed over page design features.
Ready!
1. Visit the demo site
- This is based on an actual site developed for a tourism provider.
2. Follow the link to the Rates and Booking page. A shortcut is provided at the top of the home page. This is the page that we have
specified as being editable by Content Controller.
3. From the demo site home page follow the link at the top of the page to the Content Controller home page. This will open a new web
browser window: Content Controller Administration Site
4. For demonstration purposes you must login as an editor - the lowest level of authorisation. This is the standard view that a
typical page editor will need and hides more complex functionality that is unlikley to be required. Your username is editor and
your password is pass.
5. On login you will notice a simple menu with 2 functions - Below the Page Administration title a single page name appears - Rates.
This is the link to the editor view for the rates page. Click this link.
6. The editor is now looking at a page very similar to the following:
Make some edits to the text. For example, change the room rates or single person supplement details. Click Save at the foot of the
editing window and go back to the window showing the demo site. You'll see the effect of your changes right away. That's it.
