The Route
0 Miles – Start – Coming out of Dobbies turn Right on to A84 heading West.
Roundabout sign shows first exit as Local Access – Take this Exit. It’s a hairpin bend Left on to Chalmerston Road.
Pass Drip Moss on the right heading to Blairdrummond Moss.
4.5 Miles – T-Junction – Turn Left on to B8075.
6 Miles – T-Junction – Turn Right on to A 811.
9 Miles – Roundabout – Take first Exit Left to Kippen on B822.
Through Kippen to Kippen Muir and Viewpoint Stop on B822.
12 Miles – Take care! (Its at the bend). Viepoint parking on RHS of road.
15 Miles – Continue on B822 watching for unmarked road on the Right to Balfron. No sign pointing Right so look for sign on Left for “Craigend Farm”. Turn Right Here.
20 Miles – Into Balfron taking 2nd exit at roundabout – Roman Rd. – Past the school on the Right – Left at T-Junction – then immediately Right on to Spoker’s Loan. At T-Junction turn Right on to the A875 heading North out of Balfron.
22 Miles – T- Junction – Turn Left on to the A811 heading towards Drymen.
24 Miles – At Ballat Crossroads take a Left and a Right dogleg – Crossing the A81 to remain on the A811 to Drymen.
27 Miles – Bear Right on to B858 into Drymen Square and turn sharp Right to head North on unmarked road to Garadhban Forest with a Photo Stop at Drymen Road forestry road sign.
31 Miles – T-Junction – Dalmary. Turn Right in direction of road sign showing Bucklyvie and Glasgow.
33 Miles – Lunch – Benview Garden Centre, Ward Toll, G63 0QY. On the Right just before coming to the A81.
After lunch visit The Trossachs – Celebration stop at suitable parking.
